Molten Lava Cake- Round Up

For the month of November the members of the Baking Eggless group were asked to try out a very hard recipe. It is the molten lava cake. There are so many recipes with eggs available in the web but there are very few recipes which are eggless. I was always afraid to try out this recipe because I was not very sure of the results. So when Sowmya suggested we try the cake for this challenge, I was really scared. But some how the result was good and it had a nice molten chocolate inside. When I got the members' entries I was astonished with the beautiful results they got. I need to learn a lot of techniques and this group is the perfect opportunity for me to learn. Replacing eggs in the recipe will not get you the required results. We need to plan about the substitute by understanding the role of the egg in the recipe. The original recipe used only 20gm of flour. The eggs play an important role in adding volume to the cake. So when we substituted the eggs, we also added extra flour to compensate the volume given by the egg. There were so many experiments to get the perfect cake and you can read the members' experiences in their blog. Please click on the link to read the post by the member.  Here are the lovely entries I got for the molten lava cake and you will thoroughly enjoy our experiments.
